What is the difference between mass and weight
A single exam can’t define the talent of a person.
1)mass refers to the inner content of an object. 2)it is measured by a weight balance.3) mass remains constant.for eg- on both jupiter and earth the mass remains the same. 4)mass can never be zero.

mass is scalar whereas weight is vector
Mass is the initial characteristic of every object but weight is the effect of gravity on mass(object).
Mass never change but weight changes according to gravitational acceleration .
Weight =mass×gravitational acceleration
There is a basic difference, because mass is the actual amount of material contained in a body and is measured in kg, gm, etc. Whereas weight is the force exerted by the gravity on that object mg. Note that mass is independent of everything but weight is different on the earth, moon, etc.

Mass of a object is the amount of matter present in it while weight is the force exerted by gravity on an object .The mass of an object is constant whereas weight may vary from place to place due to change in gravity.
