# what is the limitation of ohms law

The limitations of Ohm’s law are as follows:

1. Ohm’s law cannot be applied to unilateral networks i.e. network containing elements like diode, transistors, etc., which do not have linear voltage current relation for both directions of current.

2. Ohm’s law cannot be applied to non – linear elements. Non-linear elements are ones which have different resistance values for different voltage or current values.

3. Ohm’s law cannot be applied to gaseous conductors.
