# What happens to the force between two objects,if the masses of both the objects are double

We know that, force between two objects is given by

F = G(m1 x m2)/(r^2)

Now, masses are doubled, so, m1 will be 2m1 and m2 will be 2m2

Therefore, new force will be

F’ = G(2m1 x 2m2)/(r^2)

F’ = 4G(m1 x m2)/(r^2)

F’ = 4F

Hence, force will become four times the original force, when masses of both the objects are double.
