Water is often the limiting factor for plant growth and productivity in both agricultural and natural enviroments ? justify this statement in detail and in simple language please mam tell me the answer ?
Water is a necessary part of plant growth. Because plants use the water for making food by photosynthesis. It also produces oxygen in the environment for animals.
So, Water is required for metabolic processes But plants lose most of the water they absorb from roots through transpiration. A maize plant loses most of the water it absorbs within an hour after absorption. Transpiration is the reason why water is a limiting factor in plant growth.
