stable electronic configuration
sir, stable electronic configuration means the outermost shell of an atom will have maximum no of electrons, then why in your video lecture it said if k shell is the outermost shell, 2 electrons otherwise 8 electrons in the outermost shell. Why in your video lecture it said that if k shell is the outermost shell, it can be any shell right. Explain.
One shell can hold the number of electrons according to 2n2 format. where n=number shell. If outer most shell of an atom contains 8 number of valance electrons, then its electronic configuration called stable electronic configuration.
Here for k, n=1, So k shell can hold maximum 2(1)power2= 2 electrons, it has maximum number of electron that it can hold.
