I have a doubt which is mentioned below
mg = weight of any object placed above the surface of earth.
Where m= mass of the object which is constant any where in the universe.
g= GM/R^2 = Acceleration due to gravity = 9.8 m/s^2
where G = Universal gravitational constant = 6.67 X 10^(-11) Nm2/kg2
M= mass of the earth = 5.97 X 10 ^ (24) kg
R = Radius of earth =6400 km
So weight of the any object depends on the value of g
we can use both the for finding the gravitation force between two object where d or r represent the distance between them. both the variable show the same thing distance.
