Q.How do mendle’s show that the traits are dominant and recessive?
Ans.Mendle’s use pea plant for his experiment. He selected the two plants in which tall pea plant having the genotype TT and dwarfness tt.They crossed them . He saw the F1 generation have Tt genotype and all were tall. They further crossed the f1 generation which have genotype Tt and Tt. Now he saw 75 percent progeny have tall and 25 percent progeny have dwarf . Tall homozygous pea llant have TT,Tt,tT genotype and dwarf homozygous pea plant have only tt genotype. In ratio it is 3:1. So, Mendle’s show that T gave dominant trait and t have recessive traits.
