Division of labour
‘Division of labour’ is a term that describes the specialised functions of cell organelles which come together to ensure the cell is capable of surviving as well as performing it’s role in the body.
In unicellular organisms, the cell is capable of performing various life processes with the aid of different cellular organelles.
In multi-cellular organisms, it refers to the presence of various organ system that are in command of a particular life process. Example: The respiratory system helps the body in obtaining oxygen from surrounding and supplying it to the rest of the body.
