-Kunds are rainwater harvesting structures found in the sandier tracts of the Thar Desert in western Rajasthan. They dot the region and are the main source of drinking water. A kund is a circular underground well. The sides of the well-pit are covered with lime and ash. but it is not found in Uttar Pradesh.
the difference between UP and Rajasthan is that UP has rich resources of water harvesting system as it has a big flowing river like Ganga Yamuna Gomti and Rajasthan is a desert condition which a lot depends upon rainfall during monsoon and it’s storage.
