Can electricity be genenrated by rotating a magnet inside a solenoid?
Yes. What actually generate the voltage (and the current thereof) is the variation of magnetic flux. It does not matter if the flux is varied by a mechanical movement of coil relative to magnet, or the variation itself is created by varying a current in another coil. The voltage induced is proportional with the speed of variation of flux.
